Disappointed with Shipping and Customer Service

I really had high expectations for Smokehouse.com because of the products they had available. My experience, however, was less than stellar. First off, it took over a week longer than estimated to deliver. Once I finally got my order, some items were not as fresh as I'd like. Those same meats, which should have turned out tender and with that great smoked flavor, ended up dry and tasting kind of off. I've tried to reach out and discuss my concerns with them, but it took way longer than expected, and whenever somebody finally did get in contact, not very helpful. They stated it was due to some sort of "unforeseen circumstance"; no compensation, no resolve in sight. In light of the price I paid for their services, I believe the quality and service should have been better. I will never order from them again and encourage everybody out there to be very selective of anything they buy.

Extremely Poor Experience ? Not Worth the Price

Recently ordered a variety pack of all smoked meats from Smokehouse.com, and I am in full shock over how bad it was. It was late, which in itself was an inconvenience, but the real disappointment was when I opened the package. Some of the meats were dry and smelled rancid. The flavors were all over the place, and nothing tasted fresh. I tried to contact customer service for a refund or exchange, but they did not respond for days. Of course, when I finally did get a hold of them, they blamed shipping issues and said the quality was just fine, not what I got. Very frustrating and no accountability or resolution on their part. For the price paid, I would have expected a lot more. Never using Smokehouse.com again and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

Meats received from Smokehouse.com: meh, they were alright, though lots of hype. Sausages were pretty good. Other cuts, on the other hand, were just as dry. The ham turned out overly salty to a point where I never did enjoy it like others, and their shipping was expedited. Mediocre Experience

My experience with Smokehouse.com was just okay. It got here quickly, and all was in great shape upon arrival, but the meats weren't as flavorful as I had hoped. The ribs were tough, and the sausages were a bit too greasy for my liking. I think there are better options out there for smoked meats.
